The response to yesterday’s casting call was, in a word, overwhelming. Seeing as there are only two parts and they’re relatively small, I’d say it’s a good bet I’ll fill the roles pretty quick and no more applications are necessary. Thanks to everyone who has thrown their name in, and if you don’t hear back regarding the role just keep an eye out for the next one.
USAFE’s access to social networking went live yesterday, and while I did test out each site I post on, something about it still felt wrong. I mean, I actually watched an Air Force recruiting video on YouTube and was still nervous that someone would walk in and catch me.
Also, thanks to everyone who sent me pictures or links to pictures of the C-17. I still don’t have what I need, but have contacted a few folks who can get the right shots for me. Thanks again!

Even worse, is when a pilot catches a crew chief off guard and throws a filled piddle pack at him. **chuckle** Caught a buddy off guard and it was priceless. It was all “jelly” inside and didn’t explode. Pilot was a former maintainer so we could let it slide.

Ah yes. Classic Farva, just classic. I was at PSAB one time, bent over and tracing out some wiring between two tents. I was too busy checking out the women walking by me and did not see the air conditioner that was right at head height. Long story short, I have never been more glad to be in FPCON Charlie (helmet), and the “women” were a couple of base doctors who were so NOT impressed with my hand eye coordination.
