Hey folks, the recent rash of vandalism attempts have – I hate admitting this – got me thinking, and I think I owe y’all an update on some things, namely Flash animations. I usually try to keep most of my personal life separate from AFBlues, but for this one instance, I’ll clue y’all in. Flash animations – several, to tell the truth – are in various stages of production. However, outside of AFBlues, which is now up to at least six updates a week for members, I do two other comics, I’m the Cubmaster for RAF Mildenhall’s Cub Scout pack and as of very recently I’m the host of a show on a local radio station. Tack on domestic responsibilities and, well, the Air Force, and time is a valuable commodity.
Now, this isn’t a reason for why Flash cartoons aren’t being produced, because they actually are. This is why they’re being produced slowly.
I know most of you understand, and I thank you for that. As for the few who don’t, shoot me an email and we can talk offline, and you just might get what you want, but keep in mind if you start trolling you’ll just be ignored and your issues will never be resolved.

What radio show are you on what’s the time slot?
Zeta 105.3, Mondays from 7-10 p.m. I host the country show.
Then I shall go back to listening to Country Mondays on Zeta. I’m sure Melissa won’t mind at all.

Quick idea, how bout those trollers stop whining and instead of messing the life up for this man, how bout you go all the way back to the begining and when you finally get back here what you want will probably be here. So shut up and review for the next couple of days, slowly, and take your time getting back here. and Farva, keep going your dedication to the youth of Mildenhall and you going out to a foriegn country and hosting a radio program is a great example for all of us. That is great for what you are doing for our country. YOU SIR ARE A GREAT AMERICAN WARRIOR.

Wow Farva, a Cubmaster? That sounds like a lot of fun, really… A lot of work, but still a lot of fun.
Also, shame on the people who are nagging you and rushing you to finish comics and Flash animations. It’s just sad that they don’t understand that you have a life other than Air Force Blues and the internet, you know?

As a Cubmaster myself, your assessment is spot on! The most fun is when the boys are having fun.

Hey, Farva, there is such a thing as overstretching yourself…….don’t burn yourself out on too many projects!
Funny thing is I love all the things I’m doing. If it were schoolwork or something like that, I may not be so enthusiastic. I’d love to dedicate more time to Flash because the ones I’m working on are, I think, really funny. But if I were to do that, I don’t think I’d be able to post a new strip as often as I do now.
I understand being crunched for time. Vandals/trolls do indeed suck. I gave my lifetime member money because I enjoy the comic. I don’t feel like I purchased a sense of entitlement with it. It’s great I get to see some member strips (so to speak), and they make me laugh. But I don’t demand anything on a fixed schedule and I think most of the regulars who post, are of the same mindset. So if I don’t get that extra strip that takes me 30 seconds to read, and you X hours to create, and you get some downtime, or time with the wife, or whatever, I’m cool with that.
This. (Yes, I’m being “that guy”, deal with it ^_-)

Who would troll and get pissed off over a FREE comic that they get to read almost daily? Seriously? Some people need to find more productive things to do with their lives.

Farva you take all the time you need bro. You sound like you have lots on the plate. I, for one, can wait just an extra bit longer to see the Flash. Better to take the time and do ‘em right the first time (STS?) then to rush and have it not be what it could be. Keep up the good work. Oh and Box D Blues is awesome!

I wasn’t a cubmaster, I just did their job along with my own as a Den Leader, since our cubmaster didn’t have a clue about what was going on. I was always impressed with the other parents who actually slowed down when they dumped their kids off for meetings /sarcasm
Keep up the great work, I love your cartoons. Take your time. As the old saying goes, “Good things come to those who wait.” So it is with AFBlues.
