Well folks, I’ve been putting this day off for a very long time now, but the choice is no longer mine. I have to take Air Force Blues back to a three-times-a-week update schedule.
I’m not going to get into the reasons why right now, and I’ll politely but with the utmost sincerity request that no one ask or speculate as to why I’m doing this. Please just understand that, for the time being, if I want to continue doing this comic at all this is how it’s going to have to be a for a bit.
I won’t keep y’all in the dark for long – when I can say more, I will. And trust me when I say this isn’t permanent, but there are some things going on that will require a fair amount of my time, and the only place I can cut back to allow for that is AFBlues. I’ll continue to update the Member’s Section with the same frequency I have been, if not more often. And no, this isn’t a ploy to get more people to sign up, although I’m sure there are some folks out there who won’t believe me in that regard.
Anyway, it’ll be Monday, Wednesday and Friday until further notice. For those of you who are deployed and have told me how this comic makes each day go by a little faster, I want you to know y’all are the reason I haven’t done this much sooner, and I’ll do everything I can to get it back to five updates a week.

otherwise we sit here and completely understand that when you gotta do other stuff the extracurriculars get cut back.
or maybe do reruns of some of the interesting arcs

I like the guest strip idea, how about doing something like having B-52s show up at this excercise and have Beetle from The Crew Dogs do some guest strips like those joint strips ya’ll use to do that. Of course this would not be “Crew Dogs” comics…

I’ve been wondering how you’ve managed to keep up with all the stuff you have on your plate in the first place. Take a break, do you what you have to do. I and I’m sure I’m not the only one, am just glad to have this comic to enjoy. Take it easy man. We’ll all still be here.

Do what you need to do, Farva. This is something we enjoy, but Real Life ALWAYS comes first. Whatever has demanded your time, I hope that it is an awesome opportunity. The fact that you are still giving us three comics a week is incredible. We support you and thanks for supporting us!
Farva, as quite a few have already said, Do what you have to do. I highly doubt that you have many, if any, readers who do not know that you have a lot of projects and other things that you must keep up with on a regular basis, not to mention work and, most importantly, your family. The only reason that I’m not surprised that you haven’t done this sooner is that I have known you for over 9 years. Good luck in whatever you are having to deal with right now.

I was just talking about all the different comics with my command chief this past week – AF Blues, the AF Times, Box D, plus the member section. This has been a full-time job for you on top of your full-time job. We have been very blessed to be honored with your comedic genius on a daily basis. You deserve a break. Thank you for all you have done and continue to offer.
Farva, in model railroading we have a saying to take out the pipsqueaks that like to criticize:

I think this applies to webcomics too.

What everybody else said, Farva. I hate weekends cuz of no AFBlues, but you gotta do what you gotta do, and your AF career and family have to come before your cartoon “family” (much as we all love Barbie and Willows..).
