I had to work Saturday, and as such crammed everything I needed to do this weekend into Sunday. Cops, maintainers and other weekend warriors, I know working a few hours one Saturday doesn’t even come close to what you do, so don’t think I’m complaining – just more or less explaining why there wasn’t a Member’s Section update this week.
-Farva

First!! Wow…Coffman has a slight ego here.
That’s okay, Farva. I worked eight days in a row up to yesterday.
Been 14 days so far that I’ve had to go in, dealing with a jet with a fuel leak.
And I’m radar. Go figure.
As long as I can get the same day off each week, I’m happy. 2 is better, of course. Honestly, I prefer my days off being in the middle of the week. Easier to get things done.
I must concur. Rarely does that happen back at home station but being deployed it’s a blessing. Less people raiding the PX and the spaware computers are open too!
It’s even worse when you’re OSI duty agent. Bye-bye weekend and many week-nights too.
I’m not military but working 12-14 hour days in 90+ heat renting trucks and trailers. I right there with you Farva.
Wait… is Coffman supervising any troops yet?
If not, PLEEEEEEEEASE let this be his first troop!
I had to read the comic a couple times more before I realize that this is probably what the comic is supposed to be showing. >.<
not to gripe, getting weekends off, but I just spent 13 hours of my sunday re-pulling out my dishwasher to find another f’ing mouse hole. I feel like Tom, and Jerry is winning. Plated, foamed, put dishwasher back to last inch of hole, ops check OK. shoved it the rest of the way in, bolted in. SOB! no juice now! so, tomorrow, it comes back out, and there better not be a new mouse hole.
Don’t forget us Pred guys, we work round the clock too…
Air traffic controllers! Just throwing in some more weekend warriors.
I’m not getting paid for it, but I’ve spent the last three weekends in a row potty training my two year old. By Sunday night, I’m looking forward to getting back to work the next day!
ATC!!! yea!!! seriously, I love them all! Pros! (Despite the FAA/PATCO/NATCA issues)
and if you have to ask… you are young, or not paying attention to that topic.
@Airstart and Farva, dont forget the intel folks that look at fuzzy pictures; listen to beeps, squeeks, and static; etc…
(the 1N0′s aren’t special enough to be mentioned, just kidding i love you Zeroes)
Don’t forget look at dots and and the random pictures that we make out of them when bored…1N2′s ftw
Has Coffman had his supervisor’s safety training yet? That is a comic in and of itself.
I’m going on about 150 of 8-12 hr shifts w/ no days off. I win!
What about train the trainer?
Hmmm……maybe this new guy’s a prankster too. Will he become Coffman’s partner in crime, or just another shocked bystander? Heheh.
One suspects FNG may put a crimp in Coffman’s pranking, but, scapegoats are nice and DBS has offered a bit of FNG fun with the propwash and cans of flightline paint…
I’m sure Farva has a plan here.
I see the new kid and I’m thinking about the movie Valkerye. The part where the new LT shows up and Cruise asks him how far he’d be willing to go for the greater good. LT’s face was priceless, the “oh..$*!T, what have I done.” I can see the FNG getting that face before too long.
Do what you gotta do, member section is worth the weight (STS)
Awwww…poor new airman!
Is that the same dude from the wife signing a LOA comic.
Careful, Airman, or the ropes that Coffman shows you might be tied into a noose…
Love the Member update…
What’s the FIRST thing that CAME to your mind (STS)?
That leaves a lot of unanswered questions…. Is this an airman fresh out of tech school? Or is this an airman that has been in for a while and just arrived? Whose side is he on? Does SSgt Coffman have a new partner in crime? Will we ever find out?
Gotta be fresh out of tech school. Any A1C PCSing into their second assignment already has that slight veneer of cynicism that this kid is obviously lacking. That being said… I forsee Coffman twisting him to the dark side in fairly short order.
We just had an NSI here…worked nearly a month straight. Ugh.
And AMMO who wouldn’t normally work weekends, but if they fly and ‘might’ need something loaded or downloaded.
