I’m like an old person when it comes to technology. New stuff never fails to amaze me, and I just recently discovered QR codes, and what they do. Then I discovered I can generate my own and use them in stuff.
And wouldn’t you know it – I did!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the weird image in the second panel, you’ll need a code reader to really get the joke today. Just Google QR code reader, and you’ll have a ton of options. I use the AT&T scanner for iPhone, and it works great. I just point the phone’s camera at the code with the app running, it recognizes it pretty instantly and does what I designed it to do.
I’m not sure if code readers exist for just using on the computer. As such, and because I know not everyone has a smartphone, activating the QR code has the same effect as clicking here.
Have a great weekend everyone!

I don’t have one of those things, What does it mean? i’m dying to know, lol
Looks like a UPS shipping code? (too lazy to crack it, someone will!)
ARRRG. I went and got the free app to see.. something on my iPhone this time.
Love it. Howard Taylor had a story in his webtoon about a security cam system getting hacked by using those. Never thought of scanning his code with my phone.
Nice job.
Just click the link, thats the easy option. Now i’m having too much fun writing my own codes, thanks Farva
HAHA i get now, i saw earlier but i had no idea why it send me to a youtube video LMFAO
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Farva, you win, my friend.
LMAO, awesome video.
They have those codes on EVERYTHING here in Japan. Great job, Farva…it’s a multi-media joke!!!!
So that’s what those are…I am SO techno illiterate…
Farva…just so you know, I scanned the code with my Japanese phone, and it TOTALLY worked! Well, at least it WOULD have worked, if I could read Japanese and could navigate the web in that language….but otherwise, totally!!
I think I know where your going as im a programmer but my mind wants to complicate this… so what were you trying to say with the link?
The Android comes equipped with Google Goggles. Perfect for the AF babah!
nice, love the interaction required. thanks again farva. you once again have blown my mind!
For those without a reader and are still scratching your heads, the code is the URL to the youtube video!
http://qrcode.kaywa.com/
hilarious! scanned it with my Android phone for good measure, but clicked on the link to watch it on the computer.
Ha ok. My phone (Palm Pre Plus) has a fixed depth lense. To use my phone I had to
1. download a QRdecoder on my phone
2. take a pic that WOULD not work from photographing my old LCD computer screen. – FAIL
3. copy the pic from your page to my comp
4. rotate the image
5. email it to myself
6. download the image to my phone
7. rename the image
8. open the image in the decoder and it finally worked….
OR I could have done the simple method but frankly…that’s WAY too easy.
So what’s the simple method?
AMAZING!!!!
Ok so that did not work. I tried to post a QR code to this page in the comments…
Once again, Farva…FTW!!!
Funny stuff, But I have a dumb phone so I had to use the youtube link.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUu i dont have access to any of that shit here
I see those QR barcodes used more and more. Most of the time they are used for an avatar.
nice.. your QR avatar is afblues.com
I found this online, worked well. http://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx
lol You are just too funny
Loved it, nicely done, Farva.
Why am I the first to give an STS for the mouseover text?
Nice. i love finding QR Codes and scanning them. so much info in such a small little area.
LMAO I’m not sure who is stranger here. Me for actually pulling my smart phone out and scanning that code, or Farva for actually putting a working code into his comic. Farva this is a new epic breakthrough in web-comics.
I got a few friends who went into UAV’s. Great comic Farva! I hope they see this one.
Ok, so, for those of us without the ability — if it gives a YouTube link, can someone please post the link?
Farva posted the link Thud. It’s in the comments.
Duuurrrrrrrrrrrr………thanks Chaos
For everyone who wants to generate their own QR codes, check out http://invx.com/
you can try qrstuff.com. Try the VCard Feature.
That’s hilarious. And quite brilliant.
