*Love* that you used F86 Sabres. My grandpa was a crew-chief based on Okinawa working on those birds during the Korean Conflict. If you don’t mind, I might print this out and mail it to him.
Beautiful, F. Thank you for putting so eloquently what so many others feel.
Happy Veteran’s Day in the U.S., Remembrance Day in Canada and Armistice Day in those nations where 18 million gave all they could for us almost a century ago.
Thank you to those who gave, those who give and those who will give.
Awesome tribute to the military, especially the USAF. Well done! I wish I had a tenth of the artistic talent you have, but my abilities lie elsewhere.
David, hope your top five combat aircraft includes the C-130. I spent several years working on the Herc “back in the day,” both the C-130E and the HC-130N and P, and they’re awesome planes. (Notice if you watch “Great Planes” on the Military Channel, C-130s are the two aircraft in the background!) I didn’t get to spend any time working on the MC-130 Combat Talon and AC-130 Spectre gunships (I think the MC came after my time), but they would certainly qualify as combat aircraft.
Hey Steve,
Nice to see a fellow Pig-Sticker here. I worked MC, EC, WC, AC and Slicks. Damn dirty difficult “effen” pain in the ass peice of junk haulin’ junk birds. ***sniff*** GOD!! I miss ‘em so much!!
Very well done…as a military member myself, its great to see.

(Imagine my complete surprise when one day I went to work, to see….as well as the CP-140 Auroras [Canadian P-3] on the flight line, a Canadair Sabre 5 (F-86F), too! I think my jaw fell off. The aircraft in question is Hawk One, painted in the RCAF Golden Hawks livery from the late 50′s, to celebrate the Centennial of Flight in Canada last year)
Great job Farva, Happy Veterans Day
Great job as always Farva, Happy Veterans Day
Happy Veterans Day, everyone.
Us Europeans call it Armistice Day, referring to the WW1 armistice. Americans fought in the WW1 trenches too, so thanks.
Awesome job as Farva, Happy Veterans day to all who served past and present
Great one Farva! I’m digging the RP on the F-86. Happy Veterans Day all!

Amazing job Farva.
Here’s to our noble selves–there are damned few of us left.
Well done, as always, Farva. Happy Veteran’s Day.

Happy Veterans Day all!

Happy Vet’s day folks.
Wow, only thing better lookin’ than the C-17 is a F-86 Sabre! Great job.
Great Strip Farva! Gotta Love them Sabres!
Happy Veteran’s Day to all the Junior Birdmen, Squids, Grunts, and Jarheads.
Farva, the F86 Sabre has always been in my top 5 combat aircraft of all times.
Thanks
