Truth be told, this story originally had a different vector, but it involved a rescue, and seeing as this all takes place in Alaska and given recent events, I’ve made some adjustments.
I’ve got family visiting for the holiday this week, so if there’s a Thanksgiving strip, it’ll be in the Member’s Section tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks for your strip (STS). In 21 years active duty I missed only 2 Thanksgiving with my family. One in Vietnam and one airborn. Took off 1930 Local Wednesday in Norfolk, VA Landed 0330 L Friday in Guam. X-ed the Date Line so missed Thursday an Thanksgiving altogether. 17 hours of night flying.

Thanksgiving in the dorms overseas was always the best. You cant go wrong with 300 people cooking. Lots of stuffing and macncheese.
