Ok, a few quick notes…

First thing – I’m on vacation, far from my computer and any internet connectivity.  I’ll be back Thursday, but because I have no way of monitoring the site, I’ve turned comments off for the time being.  This also means I won’t be able to update any membership accounts or otherwise fix user problems.  I’ll handle all of that as soon as I get back.

Second, I apologize for not posting anything on Christmas, as I said I would.  We ran into numerous issues with our host over the weekend, and I found myself working with Marco to fix those problems and keep the site live between spending time with family and friends.  As such, I’ve gone ahead and made strips for this week – albeit lazy ones – instead of breaking from the current story.

I’ve received numerous queries about the Operation Christmas Stocking coins.  I apologize, because I didn’t make it really clear at the time we got started.  We had to wait until we had an idea of how many we were going to need before ordering them, and we did that about two weeks into the fundraiser.  They are now complete and en route to eSnacko from the factory, though holiday mail delays make it impossible to know exactly when they’ll arrive.  Once they have them, distribution will begin, and I may ask for your input to expedite the delivery.  They’ll ship to you from the US, so you won’t have to wait for overseas shipping times.  Also, those of you who contributed the largest amounts will be contacted once I return to, shall we say, make arrangements… :-)   I want to pass along a quick unofficial (because that’s coming, STS) thank you to all who participated in the fundraiser this year.  In the end, AFBlues added the tiny bit that was needed to bring the total to an even $9,000, which is about $3,500 more than we raised last year.  Expect more info soon.

And now I’m headed out to snowy, peaceful North Wales for a few days before jumping back into the craziness.  See y’all at the end of the week!
