Today is the first of many holidays and special occasions I won’t spend with Kaitie this year, but I went ahead and sent gifts early, so I’m good there.

“do” STS the “holiday”
We almost always celebrate the Saturday before the 14th. He’s always working odd or long hours (or he’s deployed, lol). I actually prefer that to celebrating on the 14th. Not as much of a crowd.
I like Valentine’s Day though. I don’t want candy and flowers. I want to go out and have a good time and remember all the wonderful things that happen because we’re together. That’s what it is to me.
Though ironically, I’d be the one to forget. I’m terrible with holidays. I like celebrating them, but I don’t pay attention to what days they fall one. D:
Actually I buy a Planter w/ Live Plants that she can plant around the Yard…that way it Lasts Forever…
As for Dinner We Stay Home and Do more Fun Things
Not all women. We raised our daughters right, it’s nothing more than a goofy holiday created for money grubbers. As we taught the girls, you should pay attention to your loved one 365 days a year, not one day meant to waste money.

One of my friend’s had her husband come back from deployment on the 13th this year. He missed Thanksgiving and Christmas and New years, so having him home before Valentine’s Day was a great surprise.

I just recently PCS’d up here to Elmendorf (JBER whatever) and found out about this web comic, love it! Having been here only 2 months I can still see the relation to the pilots here and how they are “revered” appropriately lol. Awesome job Farva keep up the good work!

Very nice. I was checking IDs at the gate one night and met a couple with the wife’s birthday on Valentine’s Day. I told him how lucky he was to have both of those on the same day and he said “It’s even better! We got married on Valentine’s Day too!” WOW! This guy only has to remember one day a year! But Good Lord if he forgets…
