I figure tomorrow I’ll start getting questions about when they’ll be getting promoted again.
In other news, the newness of this deployment has officially worn off and going to work is no longer something I look forward to. I really have nothing to complain about here, so I won’t, but I am counting the minutes until I get to go home.

Leia got promoted before me? I love how I got commissioned before the Academy cadets graduating the same month I graduated from school. Yet, I got told “You don’t go on active duty for four months. Find a job until then if you want to eat!” While they get two months of paid leave and then get promoted months before I do…….
Yeah, that’s my rant for the day, lol.

Ugh, I dont miss promotion ceremonies. My last base was horrible about them. Broke every rule of strip tacking and to hear CC’s talk about thier troop getting promoted, you’d think we had alot of water-walkers.

This is true, as well as a strip honoring the eight Airmen who fell in Afghanistan. For some reason I just found out about that. Usually I get a bunch of emails on the subject, and I don’t typically follow USAF news because I spend so much time writing it.

LOL… I’m glad I’m not sewing on again for quite some time. When I put on SSgt… I didn’t just get tacked on, I got nailed so hard it launched me a good 6 feet. Had marks on my arm from that one for a week.
