After 4 years in a non-flying gig I too was dismayed to find out that not only was I required to sit through a very painful Right Start brief (it’s not like I haven’t been to this Middle Eastern garden spot before), but there is also a Right Finish brief. WTF has happened to a good old tax-free trip to the AOR.

Takes a bit more then that to lose a stripe in the Air Force. I know guys with DUIs who haven’t lost one. Airmen lose them easy. Once you hit SSgt they tend to cling to your arm a little tighter.
It’s the same way in the USMC. It’s easy to take rank from E-5 and below but it has to go much higher up the food chain to take it from an E-6 and above due to the whole appointed by congress aspect of their promotion.

Plus, pilots have their own way of handing out discipline, which does better when kept in house. The crew chief’s will probably be taking him out in their expediter’s truck later…

I kept copies of that in my clipboard…actually had my airman read it when assigned to my jet and sign a memo for record understanding it…hahaha was priceless after a few months when they found out it was all a gag!!!

I just started the redeployment process as well. Hasn’t been too painful so far. The “Combat Exit” briefing took 15 min. But I also haven’t been to medical yet…

Redeploying is always a bigger pain in the ass then deploying. I think there’s more to do leaving then getting there.
As for Airman Max… knowing his luck he tries that and Willow will just mace him in the face. Which I hope he wouldn’t enjoy that too.
I’m pretty sure that when I redeploy, it’ll be much less stressful than deploying, but only because I had 21 days including weekends and a holiday to get ready to come out.
