On a related note, I want to send a happy birthday out to my grandpa in Texas! One day after Kaitie and I get back to the US we’ll have to crack open a beer for each one we’ve missed.
I’m posting this a few days early as I head out of town to enjoy my last few days of R&R. So if something big has happened and it’s not mentioned here, that’s why.

Facebook and my iPhone remind me of things like that because otherwise I’d forget to celebrate my own birthday. I don’t even have a calendar in my house because I never bother looking at them. All my brain remembers is how many days I have off between the days I have to work.
Happy birthday to grandpa. My grandmother’s bday was 2 days ago but my stepdad had reminded me. Sure miss them in Texas!
