I’ve received a lot of emails with suggestions for how I should – and should not – approach the subject of the DADT repeal, and thanks for your suggestions, but it’s a topic I’m going to leave be for now. I have several friends who are celebrating this occurrence, and they’re some of the best friends I’ve had in the military, so I’m staying away from it. I’m not stating my position on the matter either, so try not to read too much into this. 
I also get a lot of emails wondering why I do a lot of comics about AWACS and never J-STARS. The answer is I used to be part of the AWACS community, and if y’all want me to start including J-STARS in the comic, it ain’t gonna be pretty. Just sayin’.

I know, although I did do a comic about the repeal for AFTimes almost a year ago.
I actually thought about that comic when I read this one. Also, FWIW, this website has broken my brain. Every time I read one of your strips in AF Times, my first thought is “what’s the mouseover text?”, then I go, “oh wait, it’s newsprint” *facepalm*

Junk Stars are a joke. They have some good maintainers. But the unGodly amount of aircrew nauseates most.

I know a few folks who work with J-STARS. There are definitely folks who are not real people, but there are some who are pretty OK.

I don’t know- the J-STARS people I met at Riyadh back in ’90 seemed pretty OK to me. But then again, I was a younger, more impressionable Sgt (the AF E-4 kind) back then.
