If you know anyone in Korea they can get you a patch or any of the various dozens of different shocker patches there are. They are in any of the “Jersey” shops.
I don’t care for these new uniforms or some of the rules. They wonder why morale is low. Allow patches again. I think we are the only branch that doesn’t have them anymore.
Some trash haulers used to have a spoon in the sleeve pocket ot their flight suits. Not me, I carried a fork with three tines missing. I’m sure you can imagine which one remained.
The new 36-2903 prohibits Friday t-shirts with flight suits, but our Wing Commander went one step further and got rid of our squadron Friday patches that we have been wearing for years. I’ll have to get in touch with the Institute of Heraldry or something to see what exactly is and isn’t authorized for our squadron.
I never was a bag wearer, so for me coins are where its at. Discreet but you can still whip it out (STS) to show your friends. But then the MEO person comes by (STS) and you pocket the coin, standing there fondling it (STS) just knowing you have a dirty little secret sitting in your right hand (STS). So to speak. =)
Something similiar happened to me on my last deployment. The most notable one was at one point I put up a sign on our door saying “Nobody sees a wizard not nobody not know how!” and at the bottom it said something along the lines of unless you’re here on business, in which case knock.
It got taken down becuase it might offend the customer. I wasn’t sure how, everyone seemed to get a kick out of it. Also it seemed to make it easier for people to remember our building. Whenever someone was trying to give directions to our building the conversation normally ended with “Yes the wizard building”
Never knew PA guys got to wear the pajamas…then again I’ve only ran into PA a couple times so far in my career. I’m rockin’ the BDUs from now till Oct 31st, keepin’ it OG.
That wasnt a cross train, it was a reorganization of the comm career fields. I was a 2E6x2 and I’m now a 3D1x7. Same job, different AFSC. Farva actually changed jobs altogether from Awacks to Public Affairs. Completely different.
Nope, I cross-trained before the reorg. Was a 3C0x1, Computer Systems Ops, cross-trained to 2E1x3, Ground Radio, which became 3D1x3, RF Transmission Systems.
I was assigned to Bravo Troop, 2-6 CAV in 2005 which was known as “Shock” Troop and we used “Shock” as our callsign. The wives ordered and proudly wore t-shirts displaying the shocker.
i wanna see this patch lol
I second that!
I third that. The girl sounds like my type of girl.
Sounds like a member’s section update
or just a photo bucket
Give us patches or give us…er… something else of value.

So the Shocker is out – get new patches made: The Spocker!
(Some women enjoy that more anyhow…)
Hah. I was going to mention the Spocker. I guess I’m not the only nerd here.
Too bad we can’t wear any patch there anymore…my arm kinda feels naked without them
It sucks that morale patches aren’t aloud at all anymore come November….

You guys get to wear patches on your uniforms?
They wear flight suits for work I guess.
Must be nice…

like the whitestar avatar… debating finding a “Black Omega” star fury.

I was an AWACker for the first 4.5 years of my career.
Not sure why that slipped my mind lol. I too had to cross train at a little over 4 years in, was a 3C0x1, now a 3D1x3…

Good grief y’all’s MOS designators are confusing…why can’t it just be four numbers, e.g. 0311?
