It brings me no shame whatsoever to inform you that this strip is based 100% on my real family. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to get in my daily banjo practice.
(Author’s note: Although I do, in fact, play the banjo, I didn’t bring it to Ireland.)

I’d be more than willing to try roadkill, so long as the kill was fresh. With all the deer and pheasant around here, why not?
You know the best thing about Ireland? Yep you guessed it, the REDHEADS!
You are wrong Sir, the best thing about Ireland is the beer; the redheads are just a side effect
Drinking beer turns one into a redhead?
You’d have even better luck in Scotland… =P
I’d be bringing my own redhead, so Scotland, Erie, Wales or England…
Myth busted – at least we only saw one cute one in Dublin, and we were definitely looking.
So is it that there arent any redheads, or lots of redheads and no cuties? I’m just asking cuz my standards can get pretty low after a few brews………..
Amusingly, just yesterday a deer and I conspired to meet at 55 MPH on the highway. Fortunately the car didn’t roll all the way over after I swerved…
Roadkill AK style can’t be so bad (i.e. moose). Roadkill OK style is another story (i.e. skunk and armidillo).
IDK Mako, i’ve seen some photos up here where moose are hit by cars and they cleve the top half of the car off unfortuinly killing the people in the car followed by the pictures of the moose getting up and walking off…
As an Elmendorf AFB, AK resident… I’d like to say hitting a moose will at minimum total out your vehicle… usually sending you to the hospital… its no joke, and yeah people in cars hitting a moose have died many a time… however a carribou… that might work
Good to see the old crew and storyline again!
To paraphrase Jeff Foxworthey….. As long as theres water in the ditches and pick-ups on the roads…. You’ll never starve in Louisana. Must be the same in Florida.
That is absolutely true… anyone up for some gator?
No longer is road kill a tragedy, now it’s dinner! CAR-B-Q!
CAR-B-Q!!!! Now that’s AWESOME!
On a side note, does anyone here remember the old Road Kill Cafe shirts? I wonder if anyone makes those still…………..
Don’t guarantee they’re the same shirts you remember, but Road Kill tee shirts are available at CafePress, <a href="http://www.zazzle.com/roadkill+tshirts".Zazzle, and probably other places.
Oops. Typo on the one link. Pity they don’t offer a Preview option.
I remember the ol’ “You kill ‘em, We grill ‘em” saying! Roadkill Texas-Summer style goes bad too quick but in the wintertime, ANYTHING is game for the grill!

If you keep the banjo in your car, you can use the handicapped spaces.
